Augusta Village Polling Location
Hello Village and Ross Township residents who had voted at the Augusta Village Hall or Augusta Fire Station before the polling location change last year. This note is to encourage you to write a letter to the Ross Township Clerk and mail it or hand deliver it to the Ross Township Hall stating you want the polling location moved back to the Ross-Augusta South Fire Station for the upcoming elections.
Please send your letters to:

It is important you put this in writing, and include your name and address on the letter.
In 2025, our Ross Township clerk told residents that the roof leaked at the South Fire Station, along with other issues found by the Ross Township-contracted building inspector. As it turned out, the roof did not leak, but the clerk maintained that fabrication in justifying the change in polling location. The village has since replaced the roof at the fire station, not because of a leak, but due to age. When questioning the roofers doing this work in 2025, no evidence was found of there ever being a leak in the roof. At a joint meeting in July 2025 with the Village of Augusta Council and Ross Township Board, it was publicly stated that this person had not siad there was a roof leak at the fire station.
The other issues found by their building inspector were taken care of, and some of those issues were actually items to building code.
Elections coming up this year will be in May, August and November. Please help us return voting to the fire station.
